Quantum Track Club (QTC) was founded on May 18, 1997 by our athletes while participating at the 15th Annual Reginald Johnson Memorial Track and Field Meet.
At Quantum Track Club, we are dedicated to fostering a passion for running and athletics among individuals of all ages. Our mission is to provide high-quality coaching and a supportive environment that encourages personal growth and excellence in sports.

BSN TRACK & FIELD SPOTLIGHT: CHRISTOPHER “COACH CHRIS” MCPHERSON NAMED HEAD COACH AT FLORIDA PREP

Brevard County, meet the new face of Florida Prep track and field and he’s bringing a whole lot more than a whistle and stopwatch.
Christopher “Coach Chris” McPherson has officially been named the head track and field coach at Florida Preparatory Academy, and if you know anything about his journey, you know this is more than a hire, it’s a calling answered.
A 1994 graduate of Palm Bay High School, McPherson’s track legacy runs deep.
He was the 400-meter record holder at Palm Bay from 1994 to 2004, until none other than future Olympian and world junior champion Xavier “Peewee” Carter broke it.
That’s the kind of company Coach Chris keeps and the level of greatness he expects.
McPherson launched his coaching career in 2018, founding and leading the Quantum Track Club, where he’s spent the last seven years molding young athletes ages 6 to 18.
Whether it’s teaching form on the track, discipline off it, or fueling confidence in competition, Coach Chris has built his reputation on effort, impact, and heart.
“This is the opportunity of a lifetime,” McPherson told BSN.
“I’m overly grateful. I want to give my utmost gratitude to have been chosen and to showcase my passion for the sport and our youth.”
Now, he takes that passion to the next level as he steps into his role at Florida Prep and trust us, this man doesn’t take opportunities lightly.
“I want to thank Susannah Johnston (Head of School), Cornell, and everyone at Florida Prep who believed in me,” he added. “We’re going to build something powerful here, on and off the track.”
With a homegrown background, a heart for youth development, and a no-nonsense, all-in approach to coaching, Coach Chris McPherson is set to lead the Florida Prep Falcons into a new era of track and field excellence.
